It’s that time again: donning the hat and driving the route for BikeMS!
For those that don’t know, every year for the past 10 or more years a group of ham radio operators and I spend the weekend in Mt Vernon and environs supporting this charity ride of 1,000+ riders. As a SAG (Support And gear) driver, I spend the two days driving the course, “stalking” the riders to make sure all are safe, and assisting with mechanical or other issues. The most appreciated piece of gear I carry? A full-sized bicycle tire pump. Look for “SAG4” out on the roads ranging from MT Vernon to La Conner, to Anacortes, and as far south as Oak Harbor.
You can find out more about the specifics here Bike MS: Deception Pass Classic 2025. (That’s not a donation page. I’m driving, not fundraising. 🙂 )
(Bonus points if you notice the photobomb in my selfie.)
